Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Department of Sports and Youth Services (DSYS) has recommended the name of famous para badminton athlete Pramod Bhagat for the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award 2021, to the sports ministry, on Tuesday.
Furthermore, the department also suggested another name of vice-captain of Indian women’s hockey team, Deep Grace Ekka for Arjuna Award 2021.
DSYS on its official twitter handle tweeted that, “DSYS has recommended the names of Odia para shuttler Pramod Bhagat and current the Hockey India’s vice-captain Deep Grace Ekka for the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award and Arjuna Award respectively, for the year 2021.”
Notably, some days before, the Odisha government has recommended ace sprinter Dutee Chand’s name for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award.
