Odisha records 2487 fresh new COVID cases in last 24 hours

Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Information and Public Relations department (I&PR) on Tuesday informed that Odisha reported as many as 2,487 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the state have tested a total of 63184 samples on Monday. With this the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) have stood at 3.93%.

Cuttack district registered highest 422 new infections, followed by Khurda registered 407 cases and Jajpur with 202 cases.

However, the Covid-19 tally in Odisha rose to 9,27,186 while the number of active cases got reduced to 28,730 with 3,326 new recoveries.

4. Bhadrak: 113
5. Balangir: 16
6. Boudh: 12
7. Cuttack: 422
8. Deogarh: 9
9. Dhenkanal: 59
10. Gajapati: 11
11. Ganjam: 14
12. Jagatsinghpur: 126
13. Jajpur: 202
14. Jharsuguda: 12
15. Kalahandi: 7
16. Kandhamal: 23
17. Kendrapada: 87
18. Keonjhar: 68
19. Khurda: 407
20. Koraput: 52
21. Malkangiri: 54
22. Mayurbhanj: 103
23. Nabarangpur: 23
24. Nayagarh: 80
25. Nuapada: 5
26. Puri: 154
27. Rayagada: 26
28. Sambalpur: 26
29. Sonepur: 14
30. Sundargarh: 28
31. State Pool: 76

Besides, the state also registered a total of 51 COVID deaths and with this, the death toll mounted to 4,299, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department today.
