Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): Due to the shortage of COVID vaccination doses, Odisha Government has suspended vaccination drive in 16 districts, informed Director of Family Welfare, Dr. Bijay Panigrahi, on Thursday.
“There are 19,520 doses of Covishield and 3,24,910 doses of Covaxin available with the State Government today. Due to the shortage of doses, only 114 vaccination sessions will be held tomorrow, including 72 in Bhubaneswar,” said Panigrahi.
For nearly a week, the State Government had been able to achieve its target vaccination of over 3 lakh people per day from June 21. However, the number of people getting vaccinated decreased gradually due to the shortage in the supply of doses.
