Bhubaneswar(SunstarTVBureau): Current situation plummeting concern for Odisha government while the Corona positive cases dips below 10,000 but the death toll gradually increasing.
As per the Statement Information and Public Relation deaprtmemt (I&PR) issued 24 hours COVID cases, as many as 8399 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha and the tally in the state reached 7,82,131.
Meanwhile, a total of 66,683 samples were tested in the state, yesterday.
Khurda reported highest 1,102 fresh cases, followed by Cuttack (766) and Jajpur (514). With this, the number of active cases in the state reached 87,220.
Odisha also registered its highest-ever single-day COVID-19 toll as 40 more persons succumbed to the virus in the state. The overall toll has mounted to 2831.
