WODC chairman reviews COVID-19 situation in Rourkela today

Rourkela (SunstarTV Bureau): Principal Advisor to Chief Minister and Chairman of Western Odisha Development Council (WODC) Asit Tripathy visited Rourkela on Sunday morning to reviewe the management of Covid scenario.

After Rourkela, he was scheduled to visit Bargarh for looking into ground level situation regarding enforcement of Covid appropriate behaviour, checking of the spread and treatment of the patients.

A high level team that accompanied with Sri Tripathy, director of NHM Smt Shalini Pandit, collector Sri Nikhil Paban Kumar and other senior officers were visited Rourkela to review COVID Health Management in Sundargarh.

During the visit, WODC Chairman also visited Rourkela Covid hospital and High Tech Covid hospital, and reviewed the treatment arrangements on the spot.

Further he informed that 90 ICU beds and 120 Oxygen beds in Rourkela Covid hospital.

Sri Tripathy informed that, “Vaccination for 18-45 will start in Rourkela from Tuesday. Efforts are on to enhance the icu capacity in Bargarh.”

Sri Tripathy also assured that two additional RTPCR machines would be supplied soon for early detection, isolation and treatment.
