Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): Odisha on Tuesday registered 8,216 fresh Covid-19 cases, pushing the total caseload in the State to 47,9752. As many as 4684 cases have been detected from quarantine centres while the rests of the cases (3532) are local contacts.
Odisha currently has 7,3548 active cases while 6488 patients recovered yesterday, taking the total number of recovered cases to 4,04,063.
Meanwhile, total 15 died in Odisha in the last 24 hours. With this, the state’s toll surged to 2088.
The fresh deaths have been reported from seven districts. Highest five deaths have been reported from Khordha distrct, three from Rayagada, two each from Sundargarh and Kalahandi and one each from Cuttack, Puri and Sonepur.
With the five fresh deaths, toll of severely-infected Khordha district surged to 370.
