Phulbani (SunstarTV Bureau): Raikia Tehsildar Chakradhar Padhi caught by Phulbani Vigilance sleuths while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000 from a person to release his seized tractor, on Thursday.
The complaint was launched by Senapati Pradhan, hails from Mandakia of Kandhamal district.
According to sources, in order to release a tractor loaded with stones engaged by him in MGNREGA work .The bribe money of Rs.40000 has been recovered and seized from the accused Sri Padhi. The office and official residence of the accd at Raikia are being searched . In this connection, Berhampur Vigilance Police Station has been registered a case against the issue and is under investigation.
