Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): A fresh notification issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI) for the Pipili bypoll on Monday.
The notification noted the last date for filing nominations which been fixed for April 26. Meanwhile, the scrutiny of nominations will be held on April 27, the last date for withdrawal is on April 29, informed report.
According to notification message, the voting for Pipili Bypoll will be held on May 13.
Notably, on April 14 the Pipili Bypoll was postponed following the demise of Congress candidate Ajit Mangaraj due to Covid-19.
The fresh notification for the by-poll has been issued after the Returning Officer adjourned the poll as per the provisions of sub-section (2) of Section 52 of Representation of the People Act, 1951.
