Nuapada (SunstarTV Bureau): As Odisha continues to witness spurt in Covid-19 cases, the State government on Thursday announced a strict measures including night curfew in all cities and towns of the state and weekend shutdown in 10 districts boarding Chhattisgarh to contain the spread.
Meanwhile, the Nuapada district administration on Friday imposed additional restrictions to prohibit unnecessary movement of general public in Khariar NAC area, Nuapada.
Restrictions will be enforced from 6 am of April 17 to 6 am of April 22 this year.
Earlier on April 4, the Nuapada district collector had imposed night curfew to restrict the movement of vehicular traffic and movement of people without urgent nature of work during night hours.
The additional restrictions have been imposed after market association members and public representatives appealed for imposing curbs on unnecessary movement of vehicular traffic, public and congregation at market places.
Here’s what allowed & what not
- All shops, Restaurants, Hotels, Dhahas, banks, Offices, Educational Institutions and commercial establishments (except Medical stores, LPG Gas. Petrol pumps and other Emergency services) will be closed during this period of restriction.
- Movement of all types of vehicles except Ambulance, Medical vehicles and all others Govt. vehicles engaged for public service shall he stopped plying during this restriction period.
- The daily market shall remain closed during this period of restriction. 4) Marriage and Funeral rituals shall he observed adhering to instruction issued by the Speical Relief Commissioner. Odisha.
- No congregation of people will be there in temples, other religious places and public places inside Khariar NAC area during this restriction period.
- This order shall remain enforce for a period from 6.00AM of dt. 17.04.2021 to 6.00 AM of dt. 22.04.2021.
- Violation of the above restrictions is punishable as per the provision laid down in 1PC, Disaster Management Act and U/s 2,3,4 of the Epidemic Diseases Act 1897 framed under the Odisha Covid-19 regulation 2020 for prevention and containment of Corona Virus disease SARS-Covid-2,” the notification read.
