Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Higher Education Department on Friday informed about the suspension of examinations and physical classes in Odisha at the severe Covid-19 pandemic situation.
In a letter to all degree college principals and university vice-chancellors, commissioner-cum-secretary, Higher Education, Saswat Mishra said that as per the restriction imposed by the State Government orders to control the spread of Covid-19 Pandemic in the State.
The decisions have been taken by the State Government pertaining to all Higher Education Institutions of the State coming under the administrative control of Higher Education Department.
Examinations and Physical classes including theory and practical shall be suspended with effect from 19 March, 2021.
Besides, hostellers are asked to vacate the rooms by 19 March.
Stating that the academic session has been badly hit due to the pandemic situation, he said that holding examinations will be considered only after resumption of classroom teaching and completion of syllabus in on-line mode.
