Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issued thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speeding reach to 30-40 kmph is likely to occur at several parts of Odisha in the next 24 hours.
19 districts of the State being alerted as Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Gajapati, Kandhamal Ganjam, Nuapada, Bolangir, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Balasore and Bhadrak.
Meanwhile, the cyclonic circulation over interior Odisha adjoining North Coastal Andhra Pradesh has become less marked. However, several districts will continue to experience rain and thunderstorm activities till April 20.
Besides, light to moderate rain or thundershower is also likely to occur in the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Gajapati and Ganjam in the next 24 hours.
