SunstarTV Bureau: The Odisha Government soon going to set up aerial tramways at five tourist sites in the state to give tourism a boost.
The five tourist spots are Dhauli on Bhubaneswar outskirts, Panchalingeswar in Balasore, Kapilash in Dhenkanal , Nrusinganath in Bargarh and Bhimkund in Mayurbhanj district.
“A proper action plan has been prepared by the state Government. The project will be completed in 16 months. Moreover, discussion is underway for setting up a ropeway at Puri-Konark tourist destination,” informed Tourism and Culture Minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi.
Earlier in January, the Department of Tourism had invited Expression of Interest (EoI) proposals from prospective applicant(s) for empanelment of agencies for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and maintenance of ropeways at multiple locations in Odisha.
