SunstarTV Bureau: Today, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) following a raid in the morning sealed the coaching centre ‘Happy Classes’ situated at Jayadev Vihar area, Bhubaneswar for violating COVID-19 guidelines issued by the Centre and State Government.
A notice mentioning ‘closed’ put up on entrance point of the Happy Classes after the North Zone squad led by Zonal Deputy Commissioner Purandar Nanda found the coaching centre violating the COVID SOP.
All the students and employees at the institute were asked to vacate the place to close the tutorial.
The BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary has instructed the officials for random raids in the city. As the infection rate is on rise, the educational institutions are under surveillance.
In view of hike in single-day COVID cases in Bhubaneswar, the BMC will continue conducting raids on various educational institutions in all its three zones today for strict enforcement of COVID-19 protocols, source said.
