SunstarTV Bureau: Surrounded by fear for secondary wave of COVID-19 casesload hike above 200 in a single-day continues for three consecutive days in Odisha.
The sources from Health & Family Welfare Department informed today that the State registered 210 fresh Coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the count to 3,39,904 so far.
Of fresh single-day spike of 210 cases reported from 21 districts today, 124 have been reported from different quarantine centres and 86 are local contacts. Khordha district registered the highest of 51 fresh COVID cases followed by Nuapada district (23) and Cuttack district (19).
Here’re the cases reported from other districts: Angul: 7, Balasore: 6, Bargarh: 8, Balangir: 12, Dhenkanal: 1, Ganjam: 3, Jajpur: 8, Jharsuguda: 4, Kalahandi: 12, Kendrapada: 2, Keonjhar: 1, Mayurbhanj: 8, Nabarangpur: 1, Nayagarh: 2, Puri: 5, Rayagada: 2, Sambalpur: 11 and Sundargarh: 12.
Meanwhile, the Department source informed with death of a patient infected with the COVID-19 yesterday, the total number of fatalities due to the virus reached 1920 in the State.
Yesterday, 29,128 samples were collected for test in Odisha.
