Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar has recorded temperature in several places of states as nine district recorded 40 degree Celsius or more in the last 24 hours, informed on Friday.
According to temperature record, Boudh recorded the maximum temperature with 40.8 degree Celsius on Thursday. After Boudh, Odisha’s capital Bhubaneswar recorded 40.4 degree Celsius. Other districts as by Bolangir 40.4, Sonepur 40.2, Angul 40.1, Baripada 40, Malkangiri 40, Titalgarh 40 and Nayagarh 40, informed the Met Centre.
Following the rise in Mercury, maximum temperature is expected to rise by 2-3 degree Celsius over the districts of interior Odisha during next 2-3 days. Similarly, the maximum temperature is very likely to be above normal by 3 to 4 degree Celsius at many places in the State including Bhubaneswar during next 4-5 days, added the Met Centre.
However, the similar situation to prevail in the State till March 28, informed Met Centre.
Besides, light to moderate rainfall is about to experience several places of districts in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara districts on March 29.
Meanwhile, an yellow warning for thunderstorm and lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph in one or two places in Mayurbhanj,Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Kendrapara districts on 29 March.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha on March 30.
Similarly, light to moderate rainfall and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is expected to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj,Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur on March 30.
