Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): While Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), a united front of farmer outfits of India, today observing Bharat Bandh which ultimately affected common people in different parts of Odisha.
Notably, SKM has given this call protesting farm laws which supposed to extend from 6 am to 6 pm today.
Meanwhile, many protestors were found blocking roads at several places in the State. Some of them were seen picketing in front of government offices, public places, market places and on major roads to make the bandh success. The business establishments at most of the places in the State remained close.
Earlier on Thursday, the Odisha government had announced that all the State schools and other educational institutions under the Skill Development and Technical Education Department including all ITIs, Polytechnics and Engineering Colleges remained close today due to Bharat Bandh.
All the left parties, Congress have supported the bandh to show solidarity to the farmer movement.
