SunstarTV Bureau: In view of recent hike in COVID-19 cases, strict restriction is imposed on the entry of devotees inside Srimandir for once in every week.
A detailed discussion in this regard was held at Chhatisa Nijog meeting held yesterday which was under the chairmanship of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Chief Krishan Kumar, District Collector and SP of Sri jagannath Dham.
At the meeting, the SJTA gave permission for holding of rituals of Agniutsav at the shrine on March 27 and Dola Purnima on March 28. In accordance with sources the restriction on devotees’ entry to Badadeula might be imposed on every Sunday from next week, as it used to be after reopening of the temple in December past year.
However, the temple administration is yet to confirm the day when the shrine will remain closed for public every week. On the particular day, the temple will be sanitized to restrict spread of the deadly virus.
