Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Commissionerate Police has intensified enforcement of strict guidelines in Odisha capital, as part of precautionary measures following the sudden hike in numbers of Covid-19 positives.
Addressing to media, on Wednesday the Bhubaneswar DCP Uma Shankar Dash warned of initiating stringent actions against the Covidiots those found violating the mask-wearing and social distancing norms. However, hefty fine will also be imposed on violators of the guidelines.
On the other hand, surveillance will be intensified at crowded places, including markets and shopping malls in the city, he added
Earlier in the day, the Delhi Government termed cinema halls, malls, metro and religious places as super spreader and directed all District Magistrates (DMs) to increase surveillance in those areas.
