Cuttack (SunstarTV Bureau): An another private educational institution here were recorded four new strain of novel corona virus cases, informed Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) Health Officer Dr. Satyabrata Mohapatra.
However, the concerned private college reported its first Covid-19 cases on Sunday.
Meanwhile, CMC authorities have carried out contact tracing on person who might have come in contact with the positive patient. After that, swab samples were taken as well from some suspected persons and sent to the laboratory for further testing out of which three were found with the new strain corona virus.
Notably, on March 18, as many as 12 students from a private college were tested with Covid positive and a day later, more 13 students were also found infected with the virus.
Similarly on March 20, as many as 17 persons in the city were reported with Covid-19 infections.
On Monday, 25 new cases were reported from Cuttack district with 19 of them alone from CMC area. As per data available with the CMC, there are a total of 107 active cases in the city. So far, Cuttack Municipal Corporation region has witnessed 16542 confirmed cases out of which 16347 have recovered from the infection. Total fatality numbers remain at 88.
