Cuttack (SunstarTV Bureau): In Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) area, as many as 12 students from a private college here have tested with Covid-19. Meanwhile, the CMC authorities lodged the students under quarantine at the college hostel, informed sources.
Reportedly, the students underwent rapid antigen tests after showing some symptoms of the viral infection. Later, their test reports came out to be positive.
To prevent the rapid spread of Covid-19, the CMC officials have informed that the contact tracing of the infected students will be carried out as per the Health department’s issued protocols and thereafter steps will be taken.
CMC Health official Satyabrata Mohapatra informed that samples from around 30 to 40 students will be obtained today for Covid testing. The college & its hostel will remain shut down for 10 days as a precautionary measure against the viral infection, said Mohapatra.
