Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): ‘Kalira Atita’ Odia movie, directed by Nila Madhab Panda, is out of the Oscars 2021 race.
In his social media official account handle, Panda on Tuesday has stated that, ‘Kalira Atita’ is out of the Oscar nomination race. But further the noted director mentioned that, he would continue to talk on climate issues through the movie.

Meanwhile, he congratulated the nominees and wished them luck.
The movie, starring Pitobash Tripathy, revolves around a young man from Satavaya village in Odisha’s Kendrapara district who returns to his village to find devastation caused by climate change.
The character Gunu, the protagonist essayed by Pitobash, symbolises the struggle of innumerable hapless villagers who were at the receiving end of nature’s fury.
The film was earlier screened in the International Film Festival of India 2020 last month and garnered huge appreciations.
