Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): As a part of the two-day nationwide bank strike, more than 5500 bank branches in Odisha will remain closed on March 15 and 16.
Meanwhile, over 30,000 bank employees of the state will participate in the nationwide bank strike.
The strike has been called by the United Forum of Bank Union (UFBU) against the privatisation of public sector banks and retrograde banking reforms in Country.
Services at bank branches like deposit, withdrawal, cheque clearance, and loan approvals would be affected due to the strike. However, ATMs are likely to remain functional.
Accordingly, the banks were closed on March 13 due to second Saturday and on March 14 due to Sunday.
