Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow warning to several places in Odisha that rain and thunderstorm activity will continue for the next 48 hours.
At present, a cyclonic circulation lies over north Madhya Maharashtra at 0.9 km above mean sea level. Similarly, the cyclonic circulation over Southeast Madhya Pradesh & neighbourhood extending upto 1.5 km above mean sea level has become less marked.
As per the latest weather bulletin of IMD, both maximum temperature (Day temperature) and minimum temperature (Night temperature) likely to fall slightly by around 2 degree Celsius at many places over the districts of Odisha during next 48 hours and it will again rise thereafter by 2-3 degrees.
From Friday to Saturday, the light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of North Interior Odisha, Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack and Kendrapara.
Meanwhile, yellow warning issued as thunderstorm with lightning likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore.
From Saturday to Sunday, the light to moderate rain or thundershower likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Nayagarh, Puri and Ganjam.
Yellow warning also issued thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul and Dhenkanal.
