Sugar
Myth: Sugar is poison. It’s a slow poison.
Busted: No it’s not. But overindulgence surely is. Sugar itself is when you making or adding it to your ladoos, barfies and halwas that is not a problem maker at all. A teaspoon to your cup of chai or coffee also isn’t a problem. Sugarcane in winter chewing on it or having freshly squeezed juice is also not a problem. Even Jaggery which comes from sugarcane, you have it with the ghee and with bajra rotis.
But when it comes with a Cola, Chocolate, and a cake, always say no to it. But when it comes to regular home-cooked food then take a little bit and spice to your cuisine.
Ghee
Myth: Avoid ghee when you have heart problem, thyroid, avoid if you are fat.
Busted: Ghee is actually something that you do need to add in all your meals. At least take a tea spoon to your breakfast, lunch and dinner. It will ensure that you are not overeating. Because ghee will allow you to have better access to your satiety signals. Even it helps to digest your food inside better. It aids the assimilation of fat-soluble vitamins like vitamin A, E, D and K.
Banana
Myth: Not just banana, avoid mango, sitaphal, chikoo, jackfruit etc that is local, very interestingly.

Rice
Myth: Don’t eat rice. Rice plays role in weight gain. You can eat quinoa, but not rice.

Pickle
Myth: Avoid pickles. They are fattening.
Busted: people often said to avoid pickle because they think the thing has been made with too much of oil, salt. Without the oil and salt substances, you would have pathogens or the bad bacteria growing. If you wanted to be a culture, it helps for growth of good bacteria and also lacto-fermentation to take place. Hard amla and hard kairi which you have putted, it becomes soft. Remind not to eat too much pickle as you eat curry, it damage your health.
