Sambalpur (SunstarTV Bureau): A day after 25 students tested Covid-19 positive of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) at Burla, Pradipta Mohapatra, the additional chief secretary of Health department on Tuesday claims that no students of the varsity of faulty kits were used for the Covid-19 testing kits.
After the news of Covid strain outbreak inside VSSUT havocs a certain panic which forced the district Sub-Collector and other administrative officials to review the situation at VSSUT hostels and later on announcing hostels as containment zones.
Meanwhile, the Sambalpur Municipal Corporation had also declared shutdown in the university campus and its adjacent areas.
Pulaha, Pulastya, Atri, Kratu, Vasistha, Marich, Anuradha, Arundhati, Rohini, Visakha and Vasundhara hostels of the university were declared the containment zone. The adjacent areas of Pulaha hostel was declared buffer zone.
Amid the news, notably, the examinations scheduled to be held on March 1 at VSSUT were postponed till further order.
