Washington (SunstarTV Bureau): The Johns Hopkins University has examined the number of global Covid-19 cases which has surpassed the 114.4 million mark, while the death cases surged above 2.53 million marks.
As per the latest given statement of the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE), till Tuesday morning the current global caseload stood at 114,417,054 while the death toll counted to 2,537,563.
The US country recorded the world’s highest Covid-19 cases and death rates at 28,659,784 and 514,333 respectively. Following US, India stands in second place with 11,112,241 recorded Covid-19 cases and third in fatalities rate of 1,57,157 which recorded.
According to CSSE reports, other countries with more than a million confirmed cases are Brazil (10,587,001), Russia (4,209,850), the UK (4,194,289), France (3,820,342), Spain (3,204,531), Italy (2,938,371), Turkey (2,711,479), Germany (2,455,569), Colombia (2,255,260), Argentina (2,112,023), Mexico (2,086,938), Poland (1,711,772), Iran (1,639,679), South Africa (1,513,959), Ukraine (1,399,934), Indonesia (1,341,314), Peru (1,329,805), Czech Republic (1,240,051) and The Netherlands (1,107,344).
The second-highest number death toll recorded in Brazil at 237,489. Following the UK (123,187), Italy (97,945), France (86,955), Russia (85,025), Germany (70,266), Spain (69,609), Iran (60,181), Colombia (59,866), Argentina (52,077) and South Africa (50,077) have been recorded so far.
