Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): Amid the global pandemic situation, another alarming concern raising in seven towns of Odisha where air pollution taking its head up due to raising vehicular movement, informed Forest and Environment Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh.
On Tuesday, during Odisha Assembly session, the Environment minister informed that several towns have dangerous air pollutants, PM10 and PM2.5, in the air, by responding Salipur MLA Prashant Behera’s query.
According to Arukh, the seven cities include Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Balasore, Angul, Talcher, Rourkela and Jajpur’s Kalinga Nagar all have been catagorised as the non-attainment city.
Meanwhile, the department has been organized action plan to lessen the pollution along with other departments and agencies.
Besides, the Salipur MLA further asked Arukh about the plans and attempt of programme to curve the raising situation.
