Sambalpur (SunstarTV Bureau): Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced worth Rs 200 Crore, a redevelopment project, for the shrine of Samaleswari temple, on Wednesday.
The Odisha government has planned to build four heritage gates on four sides of the temple. Meanwhile, other facilities like toilets for the welfare of the tourists and visitors, parking slots, vending zones will be placed near the shrine.
Apart from these facilities, the government has planned to construct a 30-meter-wide road to connect the temple zone with the Mahanadi bank which will help in the daily conduct of Mahanadi alati rituals for the presiding Goddess.
It has also been planned to furnish over the housing projects for servitors of the temple on the anvil.
For the development of 108 acres of area around the temple, the government has also planned to set up a scheme under the name Samaleswari Temple Area Management and Local Economy Initiatives.
