Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Regional Meteorological Department has issued rain and thunderstorm alert for several districts in Odisha till Friday this week.
According to Met Centre, light to moderate rainfall with thundershower to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bergarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundergarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj on February 16. Meanwhile, dry weather to prevail in other districts, informed.
Similarly, in February 18, light to moderate rain and thunderstorm is very likely to occur at few places over districts of Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Boudh, Sonepur, Sambalpur and Angul and at one or two places over the rest districts of interior Odisha, Balasore, Bhadrak and Cuttack.
However, yellow warning of heavy rainfall alert issued for the districts of Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Boudh, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore.
In February 18, Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Boudh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Bhadrak and Jajpur.
In February 19, the same prevail at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam and Kandhamal.
