Washington (SunstarTV Bureau): The Johns Hopkins University has examined the number of global Covid-19 cases which has surpassed the 107.3 million mark, while the death cases surged above 2.35 million marks.
As per the latest given statement of the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE), till Thursday morning the current global caseload stood at 1,07,316,506 while the death toll counted to 2,353,620.
The US country recorded the world’s highest Covid-19 cases and death rates at 27,284,458 and 4,71,377 respectively. Following US, India stands in second place with 10,858,371 cases and fatalities rate of 1,55,252 recorded.
According to CSSE reports, other countries with more than a million confirmed cases are Brazil with 9,659,167, Russia with 3,968,228, the UK with 3,996,833, France with 3,444,888, Spain with 3,023,601 and Italy with 2,668,266,
The second-highest number death toll recorded in Brazil at 234,850. Following Brazil, Mexico with 1,69,760, the UK with 1,15,068, Italy with 92,338, France with 80,591 cases have been recorded so far.
