Chamoli (SunstarTV Bureau): After one day disaster in Uttarakhand, Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has decided to donate his match fee of the ongoing first test against England in order to contribute towards the rescue efforts.
By taking his official twitter handle, Pant wrote that, “Deeply pained by the loss of life in Uttarakhand. Would like to donate my match fee for the rescue efforts and would urge more people to help out.”

Meanwhile, the cricketer also urged people to come out and help in these trying times.
One in Pant’s earlier post, he tweeted a condolence message towards the affected citizens and the loss of lives in the natural calamity.
“My sincere condolences and prayers for the families of those affected by the Uttarakhand flash floods. I hope that the rescue operations underway are able to help those in trouble,” he had written.

Notably, yesterday the tragedy took place after the water level in Dhauliganga River, one of the six sources of the Ganga River, suddenly surged on Sunday morning following an avalanche near the Rishi Ganga power project. The 85 km river meets the Alaknanda River at Vishnuprayag at the base of Joshimath Mountain.
According to ITBP spokesperson Vivek Pandey report, at least 10 bodies have been recovered from the spot while other person information has yet to be ascertained. Nearly about 150 people went missing or feared dead.
