Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Health and Welfare Department director Bijay Panigrahy on Wednesday informed that the frontline workers will be vaccinated at their office residence.
According to Panigrahy’s statement, “We have prepared a micro-plan to vaccinate the frontline workers at their respective offices. We will hire alternate vaccinators and train them accordingly for the purpose. The identification and training of the vaccinators will be completed within two days. Session sites will be set up in respective office premises. The vaccination will commence from February 6.”

As many as 1,92,437 frontline workers including 1,57,388 police and security personnel, 25,961 sanitation workers and 9,088 revenue staff have enrolled for the vaccination drive.
“We have set a target to cover all the frontline workers within three weeks,” added Panigrahy.
The vaccination of frontline workers will be conducted simultaneously along with the drive for healthcare workers.
The state government has directed to District Collectors, Municipal Commissioners, Directors of Capital Hospital and Rourkela Government Hospital to make necessary arrangements for vaccination sites in their respective areas.
