New Delhi (SunstarTV Bureau): The freelance journalist Mandeep Poonia arrested for allegedly misbehaving with police personnel and obstructing a public servant from discharging duties at Singhu border at the spot where farmers have been protesting over the past two months.
According to Delhi Police, Poonia was arrested on Saturday night above a case been filed against him at Alipur police station. The mentioned case has been filed under the IPC section 186, obstruction public servant in the discharge of public functions, and section 353, assaulting a public servant in the execution of duty.
On Friday, among the farmers and locals clash broke out at Singhu border where Alipur Station House officer Pradeep Paliwal was injured.
The security deployment has tightened at Singhu border as farmers’ protest against three agricultural laws entered the 67th day on Sunday.
