Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Odisha Government has issued certain guidelines which will remain in force to contain the outbreak of Covid-19 across the state till February 28, 2021.
The Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has issued notification regarding large gathering, congregations to be prohibited in the State while social, religious, and political, sports, entertainment, academic, cultural functions and gatherings shall be allowed with a ceiling of 500 persons.
According to guidelines, in closed spaces, a maximum of 50 percent of the hall capacity will be allowed subject to the above ceiling.
In open spaces, keeping size of the ground or open space in view, appropriate number of persons above, so as to ensure maintenance of prescribed physical distancing norms.
Permission for such functions, gatherings shall be accorded by the respective District Magistrates, Municipal Commissioners or other officers authorized by them.
Certain guidelines for Marriage, funeral gatherings shall be allowed with a ceiling of 500 persons. In closed spaces, a maximum of 50 percent of the hall capacity will be allowed subject to the above ceiling
In open spaces, keeping the size of the ground/ open space in view, appropriate number of persons will be allowed, subject to the above ceilings, so as to ensure maintenance of prescribed physical distancing norm.
Wearing of masks, maintaining social distancing and provision of thermal scanning & use of hand wash or sanitizer will be mandatory.
