Washington (SunstarTV Bureau): The Johns Hopkins University has examined the number of global Covid-19 cases which has surpasses the 101 million mark, while the death cases surged above 2.18 million marks.
As per the latest given statement of Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE), till Friday morning the current global caseload stood at 1,01,381,964 while the death toll counted to 2,188,566.
The US country recorded the world’s highest Covid cases and death rates at 25,739,405 and 4,32,864 respectively. Following US, India stands at second place with 10,701,193 Cases and with 1,53,847 death cases.
According to CSSE reports, other countries with more than a million confirmed cases are Brazil with 9,058,687, Russia with 3,637,862, the UK with 3,754,448, France with 3,166,145, Spain with 2,705,001, Italy with 2,515,507, Turkey with 2,457,118, Germany with 2,194,562, Colombia with 2,067,575, Argentina with 1,905,524, Mexico with 1,806,849, Poland with 1,496,665, South Africa with 1,437,798, Iran with 1,398,841, Ukraine with 1,247,674 and Peru with 1,113,970.
The second highest number death toll recorded in Brazil at 2,21,547. Following Brazil, Mexico with 1,53,639, the UK with 1,03,324, Italy with 87,381, France with 74,601, Russia with 70,533, Iran with 57,736, Spain with 57,806, Germany with 55,450, Colombia with 52,913, Argentina with 47,601, South Africa with 43,105, Peru with 40,272, Poland with 36,443, Indonesia with 29,331, Turkey with 25,605, Ukraine with 23,469 and Belgium with 20,933 cases recorded.
