SunstarTV Bureau: The Johns Hopkins University has examined the number of global Covid-19 cases which has surpasses the 98 million mark, while the death cases surged above 2.1 million marks.
As per the latest given statement of Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE), till Saturday morning the current global caseload stood at 98,129,394 while the death toll counted to 2,105,056.
The US country recorded the world’s highest Covid cases and death rates at 24,815,084 and 413,925 respectively. Following US, India stands at second place with 10,595,660 Cases and with 152,718 death cases.
According to CSSE reports, other countries with more than a million confirmed cases are Brazil with 8,753,920, Russia with 3,637,862, the UK with 3,594,094, France with 3,069,695, Spain with 2,499,560, Italy with 2,441,854, Turkey with 2,418,472, Germany with 2,125,261, Colombia with 1,987,418, Argentina with 1,853,830, Mexico with 1,711,283, Poland with 1,464,448, South Africa with 1,392,568, Iran with 1,360,852, Ukraine with 1,222,459 and Peru with 1,082,907.
The second highest number death toll recorded in Brazil at 2,15,243. Following Brazil, Mexico with 146,174, the UK with 96,166, Italy with 84,674, France with 72,788, Russia with 67,376, Iran with 57,225, Spain with 55,441, Germany with 51,277, Colombia with 50,586, Argentina with 46,575, South Africa with 40,076, Peru with 39,274, Poland with 34,908, Indonesia with 27,453, Turkey with 24,789, Ukraine with 22,698 and Belgium with 20,620 cases recorded.
