SunstarTV Bureau: The Johns Hopkins University has examined the number of global Covid-19 cases which has surpasses the 97.4 million mark, while the death cases surged above 2.08 million marks.
As per the latest given statement of Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE), till Friday morning the current global caseload stood at 97,460,188 while the death toll counted to 2,088,392.
The US country recorded the world’s highest Covid cases and death rates at 24,619,597 and 409,877 respectively. Following US, India stands at second place with 10,610,883 Cases and with 152,869 death cases.
According to CSSE reports, other countries with more than a million confirmed cases are Brazil with 8,697,368, Russia with 3,616,680, the UK with 3,553,773, France with 3,046,371, Turkey with 2,412,505, Germany with 2,108,895 and Colombia with 1,972,345.
The second highest number death toll recorded in Brazil at 2,14,147. Following Brazil, Mexico with 144,371, the UK with 94,765, Italy with 84,202, France with 72,139 and Russia with 66,810.
