Puri (SunstarTV Bureau): The Puri temple administration on Wednesday informed that the shrine for darshan of deities to remain shut for devotees on each Sunday as per the sanitization of temple inside amid the Covid pandemic protocols.
An official tweet of Puri Official suggests that “The temple will be closed for darshan on Sundays for sanitization etc. COVID protocol such as masks, sanitizer usage, and social distancing is mandatory. We urge people to follow the COVID guidelines for a smooth darshan. Special queue for elderly will also be there.”

“Jai Jagannath! COVID negative report will not be required for darshan at the Jagannath temple from tomorrow onwards, ie, 21/1/21. Puri town people can have the darshan exclusively from 6 am to 7 am whereas the opening time for general public will be 7 am onwards,” also added.
