Dense fog engulfs several places of Odisha; affecting normal lives

Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar informed about dense fog engulfed several places of Odisha on Monday morning and affecting normal lives in the region.

Several districts as Daringbadi, Koraput, Angul, Boudh and Paradip witnessed dense fog in the early hours. Besides, Talcher, Chandbali, Puri, Keonjhar, Nayagarh and Malkangiri districts witnessed shallow to moderate fog, informed Met Center today.

Dense fog causes the visibility dropped to 50 meters in Daingbadi, Angul and Koraput. Similarly, Boudh and Paradip visibility dropped below 100 meters and 150 meters respectively.

Meanwhile, minimum temperature records below 15 degrees in 19 places of Odisha on Sunday as Jharsuguda recorded the lowest temperature 10.4 degree C which was followed by Bolangir 10.5, Keonjhar 10.6, Titlagarh 11, Sundargarh 11, Phulbani 11, Bhawanipatna 11.5, Baripada 12, Talcher 12.4, Sonepur 12.6, Daringbadi 13, Angul 13, Sambalpur 13.2, Hirakud 13.1, Boudh 13.5, Balasore 13.5, Cuttack 13.8, Chandbali 14 and Jajpur 14.3.

Bhubaneswar recorded 16 degree Celsius yesterday, informed Met Center.

Total seven districts of South Coastal in Odisha to experience shallow to moderate fog alert at one or places of Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Rayagada and Kandhamal on January 19,” predicted the Met Centre.
