Mohana (SunstarTV Bureau): A picnic bus carrying at least 20 passengers overturned near Dumbalpadara area on Gajapati-Rayagada border on Monday as fatality caused to one person while 15 others were critically injured, report said.
The deceased has been identified as Sunil Sahu, a native of Bhubaneswar.
Most of the passengers were from Bhubaneswar.
According to reports, the bus named ‘Maa Dakhinakali’ was heading to Bhubaneswar from Gupteswar in Koraput carrying around 20 passengers. The road mishap happened due to over speeding by the driver. At the spot one got killed and other passengers got serious injuries.
Meanwhile, Mohana fire services personnel rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Mohana hospital while six of them stated to be critical. Later were shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.
