SunstarTV Bureau: On the occasion of the 73rd Army Day, Army chief, MM Naravane has lauded the “supreme sacrifice” of the brave hearts in the line of duty, on Friday.
He mentioned 2020 as a year full of challenges and opportunities, still the Indian Army stood steadfast on safeguarding the security and territorial integrity of the nation.

Praising the Army’s swift action on Line of Actual Control (LAC) row, the chief said, “While remaining committed to resolving disputes through dialogue and diplomacy, the Indian Army has been swift and decisive in its response to counter any attempts to unilaterally change the status quo on the Line of Actual Control.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also greeted soldiers and praised the Indian Army, saying it is strong, brave and resolute.
In a tweet, he said Indian soldiers have made the country proud as he wished them on behalf of the people.
“Our army is strong, courageous and determined which has always raised the head of the country with pride. I salute the Indian Army on behalf of all the countrymen,” PM Modi tweeted in Hindi.
