SunstarTV Bureau: The Odisha government has reduced the price of rapid antigen test at private laboratories in the State from Rs 450 to Rs100.
The tests are for the persons with suspected Covid symptoms. The innovative move will help people to undergo Covid test at an affordable price.
As per reports issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department, at most the cost of rapid antigen test at private laboratories has been fixed at Rs 100 including GST.
“The tests will be conducted by private laboratories under the supervision of RMRC, Bhubaneswar following ICMR guidelines regarding the testing protocols for rapid antigen test,” the notification read.
Earlier, the State government has allowed the private bodies to charge a maximum Rs 450 for rapid antigen test.
