SunstarTV Bureau: Russia Deputy Envoy Roman N. Babushkin, Russian Ambassador to India Nikolay R Kudashev holding press meets, answer several vital questions, today.
On being asked whether India should be worried about Russia’s growing ties with Pakistan, N Babushkin answered, “We sincerely don’t think India should be worried. Russia is committed to respecting sensitivities of other countries. Exercises with Pakistan were counter-terror options.”
“We are maintaining a close dialogue on Afghanistan…We have the Moscow platform for same. Then, we have of course bilateral consultations with India on Afghanistan,” told Russia Babushkin on cooperation between India and Russia regarding Afghanistan peace process.
“We don’t welcome unilateral sanctions as tool for international relations. India’s position is also crystal clear-no sanctions other than those applied by UNSC,” Russian Ambassador to India Nikolay R Kudashev answered on being asked about US imposing sanctions on Turkey over Russian S-400 missiles purchase.
