SunstarTV Bureau: The Nitish government has approved the proposal of providing free anti-corona vaccine to all the people of Bihar during the first meeting of the cabinet, on Tuesday.
Earlier this month, the centre said that there may not be a need to vaccinate the country’s entire population, but through this announcement Bihar government moved a step closer towards fulfilling the key election promise made by the ruling Janata Dal United.
Along with the free vaccination, cabinet also proposed for generating 20 lakh private and government jobs, women empowerment, fixed grant of Rs 50,000 to unmarried graduate women and Rs 25,000 to only school completed women.
A new scheme will be launched under which women will be given interest-free loans up to Rs 5 lakh to become self sustainable.
