Bhubaneswar (SunstarTV Bureau): On the occasion of two-year anniversary of ‘Mo Bus’ Arun Bothra, Managing Director of the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) has thanked the commuters for their unconditional support and trust on ‘Mo Bus’ services.
On November 6, 2018, Mo Bus services were rolled out as a part of state government-owned Capital Region Urban Transport’s ‘City Bus Modernisation’ programme. Over these two years, Mo Bus has gained a wholesome popularity amongst the people of capital city, Khordha, Cuttack and Puri districts. From a ridership of 17000 in the initial days, it jumped to over 1 lakh daily in January 2020.
With hit of pandemic Covid-19, all lively hood stood still so as Mo Busses. As the world is returning to normalcy Arun stays hopeful for running of the buses on the roads soon.
‘The focus is not only to focus on customer service, employee development and technology but also to provide the best public transportation possible and continue to improve the quality of life,’ mentioned in the CRUT website. Presently, Odisha operates a fleet of 310 buses to and from the capital.
